EXPERIENCE

SINCLAIR CREATIVE GROUP – 2009- present

Owner/Creative Director

I’m passionate about helping people make an impact, start something new, create a new vision, and making things “better”.  I dream with dreamers, brainstorm with planners, create with creatives, and nurture and encourage the team. I approach each project by listening to discover “who, what, and why”, and then work to design and create the most effective solutions. I love working together to make things “look good” and to solve visual, logistical and relational roadblocks.

REALITY SANTA BARBARA – 2011-2017

“Pastor of Possibility” – Santa Barbara Campus Elder

Reality had outgrown their current church facility and wanted to develop a new venue in Santa Barbara that would seat 1400. My role was to find, develop and equip a new venue & offices for the startup within 4 months. Theatres and facilities of that size in downtown Santa Barbara were outrageously expensive for a church budget, so we worked a deal with Santa Barbara City College to rent their gym and transform it to a venue each weekend. With 150 volunteers, 2 trucks with trailers as well as 2 stationary 40ft containers we were able to transform a gym into a concert style venue with full stage, lights and sound and seating for 1400 people every weekend. During and after the relocation project, I created infrastructure and counseled with staff and attendees to allow the church to run smoothly and effectively. I also helped the staff work through transition into full autonomy as a separate church.

TESH MEDIA GROUP – 2007-2009

Creative Director

I worked with John Tesh to co-write and co-produce a dynamic video production with a full band, gospel music choir, hip hop and modern dancers. John and I wrote new music for the musicians, choir, dancers and singers and I worked with the marketing teams to create all print, social and video design production. Producing a TV show that would be filmed in Denver with 14 HD cameras and 96 track digital audio required building a team of professionals from NY, Nashville, Los Angeles and Denver. I oversaw the team to ensure smooth communication and relational cooperation as well as a sense of fun and challenge. ALIVE music&dance was featured for over a year on cable networks along with ongoing DVD and CD sales.

FAITH BIBLE CHAPEL – 2001-2007

Worship/Creative Arts Pastor – Executive team

With a larger state of the art facility being built, I was hired to build a music ministry that would fill the new 90×60 stage with a full band and orchestra and choir. I worked to include the current 8 singers and added professional and volunteer musicians while developing an 80 person choir to fill the stage and auditorium with an appropriate size musical experience. The church grew from 3,000 to over 6,000 in weekly attendance with 100+ members in the creative arts ministry.

SINCLAIR STUDIOS – 1982-2001

Owner/President

I was one of the first studios in the country to go 100% digital and helped pioneer the transition for advertising clients and designers to use and embrace digital imaging. I served on Kodak’s Digital Professionals Advisory Board in the mid 90’s to help shape technology and cameras that professionals would need. Albertsons and Hewlett Packard were regular clients and were looking toward the digital future as a cost savings opportunity for all their photo and print materials. The conversion to digital photography and archiving saved Albertsons and HP millions of dollars in film and separation costs each year as well as redundancy costs due to re-shooting products at each division around the world.
